Instrumentation Cables |

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL DETAILS
The cables are produced with following ingredients. The short form details of the basic raw material used are described for general information of the customer

CONDUCTOR:
The conductor used is of high purity i.e. 99.99% electrolytic (EC) grade copper. The copper is annealed to the standards specified in IS : 8130 to produce the best results of CONDUCTIVITY, ELONGATION, FLEXIBILITY, BRIGHTNESS and DEOXIDISING PROPERTIES. The conductor generally used of ANEALED TINNED COPPER in electronic cables & ANEALED BARE COPPER TYPE in electrical cables.

INSULATION:
The insulations of following types are used unless and otherwise specified
1. PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) for 70°C temp.
2. PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) for 85°C temp |

PROTECTIVE BARRIERS:
The bunches of cables formed are twisted together in concentric forms and overall wrapped with non hygroscopic, transparent, polyester tapes of different thickness varying from 20 Microns to 50 Microns. These tapes protect cable from moisture & temperatures.

SHIELDS:
The cables so formed are shielded or screened in the following designs.
- Overall copper braid shielded.
- Overall poly aluminum tape screened.
- Twisted pair individually and overall poly aluminum tape screened.
- Twisted pair individually and overall copper braid shielded.
|

INNER SHEATH:
The cable bunches formed after laying and polyester taping are protected by intermediate layer of PVC incase of armoured cables. The thickness of inner sheath varies from size to size. The minimum thickness of inner sheath shall be 0.3 mm.

ARMOURING:
The armour is provided to protect the cable from mechanical injury such as digging, damage by heavy materials, over running by vehicles, etc. The type of armoured provided is Galvanised Iron (G.I.) Wires for diameters below 13 mm OR G.I. strip for diameters above 13 mm.

OUTER SHEATH:
The cable bunches so shielded are protected by outer sheath of following materials.
- PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) temperature range -15°C to +70°C.
- PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) temperature range -15°C to +85°C.
- PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) temperature range -30°C to +105°C.
- TPR (Thermo Plastic Rubber) temperature range -15°C to +70°C for extra flexible and low bending radius requirement.
